Lab Research & Strategy
A pile of rubble is not a house. A pile of data is not knowledge. We manufacture strategic knowledge, models of thought and psychosocial analysis. The genesis of knowledge is conversation, in all its dimensions and natures.

La Casa de Investigación
La Casa has advised, researched and guided social, political and corporate strategic processes across the Americas, Europe and South Asia: a bridge between the palaces and the streets. A small elite group that has actively taken part in more campaigns and in more countries than any other qualitative research office in the Western Hemisphere. More than 100 campaigns and more than 15 presidential processes nourish our gaze, cultivated with methodological rigor, intellectual weight, human care and sensitivity, strategic sharpness, and a deep respect for our clients' projects and for social processes.

Locus
Locus was born in 2015, in the midst of a great hemispheric movement that demanded changes in eating habits and put governments and industries in check. The moment called for a segmentation model that would not fall into commonplaces, and a methodology capable of calibrating and monitoring social, psychosocial, cultural and political processes. Without planning it, it became an analytical engine that anticipated structural shifts in social thinking and gave birth to multiple algorithms of the highest strategic value for the adaptation of corporations and brands to paradigm changes, for high-level political campaigns, and for the management of major government crises. Today it is an analytical brain that proposes a necessary change in political and market clustering and intends, with sincere arrogance, to change an old paradigm: that companies and political parties define how society is segmented. Locus lets society segment itself — and, along the way, give advance notice of its movements.

SocialTrauma
Naivety is dangerous when it comes to research, strategy and knowledge of human systems. Pain, tragedy, catastrophe, threats, fear, anxiety, anguish, rage and delirium are components of social life that research models and offices usually do not know what to do with. The healthy thing is not to look there: social, political and private pacts are based almost entirely on a promise of happiness and prosperity. But someone has to look into the shadow, without prejudice, and understand how the densest collective energies are managed. We believe, with humility, that we have helped manage terrible crises and helped governments and companies use their power and resources to contribute to restoring the mental health of millions of people struck daily by the mallet of violence, precarity and corruption.

Food Ontology
Eleven years ago, Manuela Loi — who was researching notions of taste in the Huichol culture of northern Mexico — and Matías Gálvez — who was analyzing the psychosocial and economic impact of shifts in the food, health and illness paradigms — met in Mexico. The relationship between the principles of health and illness and the categories of taste and color of food has been the subject of serious research for more than a century in Western academia, but also in the research fields of ancient cultures and pre-European scientific disciplines such as Ayurvedic, Chinese and Arabic. Today it is a central matter in understanding the food market and the concrete and symbolic place of food and beverage brands and companies, as well as in any analysis of eating behaviors.

Cognitive Rights
Our CEO is actively involved in the epistemological and scientific construction of new fields and frontiers to contemplate the relationship between technology, power and the human mind. Our commitment to justice, human dignity, freedom and democracy stems from a fundamental principle: the human mind is the axis of the sovereignty of individuals and peoples. In a landscape of fascinating and often prodigious technological advances that touch and intervene in human cognition in countless ways, we are actively committed to research and analysis that foster the dissemination and legislation of principles for the protection and care of the human mind — of the cognitive processes that shape our experience of life — especially among children and adolescents.

Venezuela Omnibus
One of the most complex challenges facing the West — and the world — is the adaptation of political and economic systems to the establishment of technological, cognitive and communication systems unforeseen by robust social, philosophical and political theory. Venezuela has become an archetypal territory for the West, embodying multiple political, social, legal and economic dilemmas. That is why we created the Venezuela Omnibus: a continuous quali-quantitative research and analysis tool in the country, accessible to international organizations, companies, political organizations and governments.
